![]() ![]() (Side note: I think it's pretty awesome that WSL is included with Windows 10 ARM Edition!) The other thought I've had is to install a X Windows system server (such as Xming) on the Pro X and try to run minecraft from within the WSL, but I don't expect that would actually run very well as WSL currently isn't intended for gui-based linux apps. Though I think I may have installed the actual Oracle Java vs open-jdk,īut I know open-jdk does work as well, as I've seen minecraft 1.12 working on a Raspberri Pi. I can confirm that WSL will run a dedicated minecraft server because I've done it on a regular desktop. ![]() I haven't had time to try any of this yet, but it is an intriguing idea, thanks. I haven't tested it, but the theory is sound. Your %appdata%\.minecraft folder from another Windows install. From there, you can make a java.bat and javaw.bat and point them to the wsl commands and HOPEFULLY launch However, you can install WSL and Ubuntu which will let you install open-jdk-11 for ARM. I believe it's C# whereas the game data is in, well, java.Īs far as I know there's no Java available for Windows on ARM. I think the only problem is the launcher. ![]()
